Write and test a program that prints out the multiplication table for the numbers 1 to 9. Sample run:(should look close to this)

Basically, I can't get the vertical row with the 1-9 to work and I need help figuring it out

for x in range(1, 10):
    print("    {}".format(x), end="t")
print()

for y in range(1, 10):
    print("{:<}".format(y))
    for z in range(1, 10, 1):
        ans = y * z
        print("    {}".format(ans), end="t")

The print() at line 6 needs a end="" argument. Also you could replace all the end="t" with end="", and also " {}" with "{:>5}" which is better because every number will fit in a fixed length zone of 5 characters.

I have tried to write a code for nested loops in Python.

   for i in range(1, 10):
    print("i =", i, ":", end=" ")
    for j in range(1, 10):
        print("{:2d}".format(i * j), end=" ")
    print()
