Like if you have to run a query for one million people, how would you display the percentage of the query finished?

Like if you have to run a query for one million people, how would you display the percentage of the query finished?

I'm not sure that you can. You could perhaps use the average amount of time the query would typically take, then use a timer-based progress meter.
