Membership provider alternative

Hi,

I have setup a custom membership provider which works fine locally but when uploaded onto the host which is shared btw doesnt work due to the server operating in medium trust mode.

The membership provider is pretty overkill for me i just need a really simple login/authentication to protect the admin directory.

Can anyone point me to a simple example, or advise? so far i have only found custom membership provider tutorials which isnt what i want.

Hi, ive looked on there but its all too much for what i need.
