asp technology is not obsolete, I still need to learn to do, I need to learn php, please tell me

No ASP is not obsolete and is still the preferred language when writing applications that can be easily customised.

Best way to learn is by finding something like a custom written web application like a shopping cart for the web (they usually include most functions) and customising it little by little.
