CDONTS or CDOSYS?

First you need to find out which mail service you will be using. For example in Windows Server 2000 you it may be CDONTS, and on Windows Server 2003 and later it can be CDOSYS.

So first find out what mail service is installed and enabled, because the procedure for each is different.

Or if you are trying to send mail from an executable (yes they can be written in ASP) then you may need to install a mail component with your application.
