Ok so I was asked to add user logs on the website....problem is, I dont know what that is...what it does, what should be considered...why is it important...i tried google but I failed to understand why i have to do user logs....Can anyone give me some tips/ insights..etc...thanks in advance!..

Not sure what they mean, but it's usually an audit trail so when something suspicious happens it can be traced who did what and when.

ohh..so i should have a record of everything thats happening to the site then maybe on a text file? any suggestions?

If that is what they want, you can choose to log to file, or to database. For file logging log4php might be interesting (it can log to multiple destinations if necessary).
