lets say a news and events tab is clicked and it shows news...by clicking read more you may view the whole content of the news including the image present inside...is there a way to display the image on the news tab without clicking the read more button?

That depends... what are you working with? Wordpress? To answer your question, yes you can because, we don't know enough about what you are doing to tell you no.. but if you have control over the code and you can write to the page that displays the news and read more, than the answer is yes.
