Hello,

I've been trying to set up a Knoppix live CD for troubleshooting help, but every time I try and use it, it tells me that the "Knoppix filesystem not found" "Dropping you to a (very limited) shell". I'm very new to linux (I just installed opensuse on an old P3 machine last week) so this shell doesn't help me much.

I did a little research and on some website somewhere they mentioned something called nodma which solved their problem. What they didn't mention was what nodma is and how to activate/use it! Any help here?

Thanks!

When the knoppix boot screen comes up, instead of letting it proceed to boot on it's own, type 'knoppix nodma'.

Thanks, I'll give that a try!

No good, same issue. I type that in and It gives me the same error. Thanks for trying, though!
