compaq evo 510 sff;

getting 7 bios beeps, a little research tells me to replace AGP card, but i get these beeps even pulling the card out. shouldn't i be able to at least get to bios to switch to use "on board" video? replaced memory but that wasn't it.

any idea's

is the MOBO dead?

Maybe you need healthy AGP card to be able to switch back to on-board VGA via BIOS settings... or simple clearing the CMOS via jumper (that is usually located near BIOS battery) would do the trick, giving that the on-board video is enabled by default.

Thank you, earlier this morning i did fix the problem. It was infact the AGP card but even a healthy one wasn't functioning right away, after a cmos clear all is well.

Although cannot seem to find in the bios where to turn back to onboard video. oh well no worries.
