Hi guys,

i was wondering if any of you can point me in the direction of a network drive, or enclosure, that will work as soon as plugged into a router; any I look at all have included software.

This would be for home use so cost is also a factor.

Thanks in advance.

I have one of the latest Iomega drive. It plugs via etrhernet or usb into the router. It has its own software which is a pain. By removing that (a simple erase) I now have a very efficient file server / backup hard disk drive on the network and it has worked well.
Ther eis also a western Digital one that if you can find it comes without software but I think that one is only USB;

It depends on what type of router you have. Some, like mine, have built in USB ports. What type of router do you have?
