Thank you for your time,

Hi Nashii and welcome to Daniweb.

===============

Go to www.trendmicro.com, and then:

1. Click "Free Online Scan".
2. Click "Scan now, it's free".

It'll take a few minutes to download (especially with a dialup connection), so be patient. When it's down:

1. Select all available drives.
2. Check(tick) "Auto Clean".
3. Click "Scan".

When it completes, post back the full filename of any files that cannot be cleaned or deleted.

===============

Download CWShredder 2 from here. Run it and press the *fix,* not scan and allow it to clean the infection. Close all browser and explorer windows before hitting the fix button.

===============

Download, unzip to your desktop About:Buster and run it, then:

1. Click "Update".
2. Click "Check For Update"

(If no new version is available, skip to step #4.)

3. Click "Download Update", and wait for it to be installed.
4. Click "Start".

(Wait for the initial ADS scan to complete.)

5. Click "Yes", to shutdown any IE session currently open.

(Wait for the about:blank scan to complete.)

6. Click "Ok", to scan once more.
7. Click "Yes", to shutdown any IE sessions currently open.
8. Click "Yes", to begin the second pass.

9. Click "Save log", and post this log back along with your new log.
10. Click "Exit".
11. Click "Exit".

===============

Now, let's open a command prompt and unregister the dll(s) we're going to remove, by entering the following:

regsvr32 /u GMDN.DLL

It's ok, if these aren't found or 'error' out. If you want, just copy and paste the individual lines to the command prompt to save on the typing.

===============

Run HiJackThis and click "Scan", then check(tick) the following, if present:

R1 - HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main,Search Bar = res://C:\WINDOWS\TEMP\se.dll/sp.html

Please let me know if I still need to delete more lines. At least Spyware nuker 2005 do not detect any baddies.
I'd also like to ask which program should I keep now:
Norton or PCcillin (I have both but is running Norton)
Adaware SE professional 1.03 (if better then I'll buy 1.05)
Spyware nuker 2005
Spybot
Thank you very much for your time and great help

Post back a new log after rebooting and let me know how everything goes.

Adaware 1.05 is the latest version and thus should be the one to use.
There is no problem keeping both AV's on your system providing only one is running at startup. You can use the other to manually check files. Just remember to keep it updated.
All the rest can stay too :).

You mentioned above that I should have ver 1.05 of adaware. Can I go with the free personal version or will the paid professional version protect my PC more? Should I leave both adaware and spyware nuker 2005 on at the same time? I think last time adaware detected some "spyware" from spyware nuker. Is that ok or should I delete those spyware objects? Here is the log from adaware last check:

Thanx for your help!

Hi Nashii. That is a clean log. The free version of Adaware should give you the same protection, although it does not have Adwatch and probably has less options. As I do not have the paid for version, I'm not 100% sure.
Adaware is possibly recognising the name of spywarenuker as bad, therefore sounding an alarm. I would just ignore it. There is an option to ignore such things in Adaware.
The M(most)R(recently)U(used) entries are harmless. They just show what you have been doing on your PC regarding the software on it. You can uncheck that option before scanning.

Thank you so much for your great help! Without this helpful board, I'd still be terribly lost and stressed. Once again thanx!

You are welcome :). Check out the whole site while you are here. There is a lot of useful information to be found.
