I dont go on any weird sites, but I do download alot of programs. But I research the programs prior to downloading them.
Can anyone help me ??
Thanks so much
Jen

Hi, welcome to Daniweb.
It appears that the error loading message has to do with a possible infection that has been removed at some time. There is an auto starting reference in programs with that same file name. Since it was removed then this would be why the computer is giving you that error because it is looking for the file and cannot find it. It's a GOOD thing it cannot find it since it was a likely infection. We can take care of the error later.
The fact that you have numerous media player files which cannot be played also leads me to believe that these "might" have also carried infection but they infected portions have been removed, rendering the file useless really.

I see that you have MBA-M installed on the computer.
Did you recently run a scan with it where objects were found? If so did you have it remove them? If so, I would like to see that log. You can find the log by opening the program and clicking on the logs tab. There you will find all logs from each run. Go through the logs until you find the one where infection was removed. Copy/Paste that log back here. If there were more than one time infection was found recently please post each one of those logs too.

Then please Update it and then run a Full Scan with it.
When the scan is complete, click OK, then Show Results to view the results.
Be sure that everything is checked, and click Remove Selected.

Reboot the computer

Then run a new HJT scan and save the log. Post back here with the MBA-M log and the new HJT log.
Judy

Thank you sooo much for helping me out here. :) This was one of the one's I ran on the 27th of Oct.

Then in the Quaretine Tab it says 46 objects? also when you say update you mean check for updates on the software on the update tab (Im sorry Im asking dumb questions)?

Then in the Quaretine Tab it says 46 objects? also when you say update you mean check for updates on the software on the update tab (Im sorry Im asking dumb questions)?

Hey Jen, NO question is dumb, this is how we learn, by asking questions.
Yes, that is the way to update the MBA-M program. Which you SHOULD do each and every time you run a scan. This program has updates daily at the very least, sometimes several times a day so the Update should be run before each scan even if you are doing multiple scans in one day.
You actually can empty that quarantine folder by going to the Quarantine tab and clicking the Delete All button.
Now I would like you to do the following;
Go to Add/Remove in the Control Panel. Look for all of the following items;
FunWeb
My Web Search (Smiley Central or FWP product as applicable)
My Way Speedbar (Smiley Central or other FWP as applicable)
My Way Speedbar (AOL and Yahoo Messengers) (beta users only)
My Way Speedbar (Outlook, Outlook Express, and IncrediMail)
Search Assistant - My Way
UNINSTALL any of those that you see there. You might not find any, as MBA-M did remove quite a bit of these items but you need to be absolutely certain they are ALL gone.

Next go to My Computer, Drive C, and double-click on the Program Files folder

7) Right-click and delete the folders for:

*FunWebProducts
*MyWebSearch
Now run a new Full Scan with MBA-M and have it remove everything found.

Reboot the computer and post back with that new log. Please include the entire log, including the top portion which contains this type of information:

Since you had infections it is possible these two applications were damaged. What versions of each do you have on the computer?

For Movie Maker you might try this:
Start -> Run dialog (copy paste and press OK)

regsvr32 %windir%\system32\qdv.dll

You should get a "DllRegisterServer succeeded..." message.

Then see if it works.

For the Media Player error, it is possible there is a problem with your sound card. Go to Device Manager and see if there is an error showing there with your Audio Card.

:) Hi again,
I ran that diologe(regsvr32 %windir%\system32\qdv.dll) it did say suceeded but when I opened windows media player.. it gave me a not registered messege. The version is 5.2

For the media player I went to the: control panel > Sound and Audio Devices > Harware (tab) and checked down the list. They all say:
Device status: This device is working properly

Or do I need to check a different area?
Thanks a whole bunch! :D

That was not for Media Player it was for Movie Maker.
Your Windows Media Player is way out of date. Try updating it and see if that helps.

no, sorry thats what I meant. Windows movie maker says not registered still after that diologe I ran.

The media player's version is media player11 and it says: Windows Media Player cannot play the file. The Player might not support the file type or might not support the codec that was used to compress the file. for just an mp3 which it always used to play.

Let's work on one item at a time.
Windows Media player: If you are running Media Player 11 on Windows Server 2003 there is a chance that it is not compatible with the operating system. It must be installed a specific way in order for it to work properly and it often times doesn't work even then.
Here are instructions for that installation:
http://www.msblog.org/2006/12/17/install-windows-media-player-11-on-windows-server-2003/

Now another solution given in most places is to go with an older version of Media Player, from the suggestions I have found it seems that version 9 is the one you would want.
http://www.microsoft.com/windows/windowsmedia/player/9series/

This also "could" be the problem with Movie Maker also. The version you have may not be compatible with your operating system IF you were formerly able to use it, did an update and now cannot.
