Appreciate any help you can give on thsi matter. Please let me know if you need further info.

Cheers...Andy.

Can you do the following and post the TWO logs produced?

Download DDS by sUBs and save it to your Desktop.

Be sure follow the instructions below carefully!

• If your AV has a script blocker, please disable it
• DoubleClick on dds.scr to run the tool

* A command box will open, displaying added information for your reading pleasure while DDS completes its scan.
* Upon completion, a Dialog Box should open instructing you to save and post the TWO resulting logs (DDS.txt & Attach.txt).

• Copy&Paste both the DDS.txt and the DDS Attach.txt into your post

Hi - thanks for getting back. I have run the DDS tool. Below are the results:

Thanks for any help.... Andy

Very good. Now I know that earlier you said you could not run DDS can you tell me now how you were able to run it?
Have you tried uninstalling IE8 and rolling back to IE7?
You still have multiple toolbars added by Bearshare on there, though only one of them shows in your In"C" drive is very nearly full I presume.

hi
DDS was trying to open with DWG Trueview program. So i uninstalled DWG. I was then able to run DDS.
Not tried installing IE7.. not too sure how to.. will look into it now.
C drive is very full. If Bearshare is still around on the toolbars how best is it to remove it?
Thanks...Andy

Did you install IE 8 before or after you installed SP3? If you installed it before SP3 then you would have to remove that first and then the computer would automatically roll back to IE7, you wouldn't have to install it.
You might try opening IE8 without any addons. Go to All Programs-> Accessories-> System Tools-> Internet Explorer (no Add-ons). This opens up IE without ActiveX controls and browser extensions. See if you can do that.

ok..cannot run IE8 no addons same error.
Have tried to uninstall SP3.. cannot do this simply and have had to revert to system restore process. This did not remove SP3.
Ran AV updates and still cannot open internet.
Uninstalled IE8 and downloaded IE7. Internet still not openning.
Have seen that i have safari and that works.. so maybe i am best to ignore IE and just use Safari from now on.
Cheers Andy

System Restore DOES NOT remove programs, it isn't intended to do so. What happened when you attempted to uninstall SP3? How far back did you go with System Restore. System Restore is only meant to go back a short way, one or two DAYS at most. If you go back any farther than that you may cause damage to key files on the computer.

hi
Only went back 3 days so hopefully not damaged machine.
When i tried to remove SP3 it said - couldn't find specified file.

Is it worth removing IE fully?

IE cannot be removed because it is part of the operating system.
