I'm kind of new to this tried to get answers from other threads about this but I'm afraid I will remove something thats needed, so here I am looking for help. I ran EWIDO scan and it cleaned over 80 problems but hit a error quarantining 3of the following - Trojan.Holax.E - Adware.Mega Search - Adware Hot Bar. I then ran HijackThis v1.99.1and this is the following report can someone help me with what should be removed thanks.

I was able to remove the RUNDLL error with the help of crunchie's post that listed a group of helpfull threads and links. Thank you crunchie ! can some one go over hijack log to see if anything else needs to be removed computer is still a little slow.

You still have infections; please do the following:
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
C:\DOCUME~1\Daddy-o\LOCALS~1\Temp\Temporary Directory 1 for hijackthis.zip\HijackThis.exe

The log entry above indicates that you are running HijackThis from within a Temp/Temporary folder. Please do the following:

Create a folder for HJT outside of any Temp/Temporary folders and move the HijackThis.exe file to that folder now. A folder such such as C:\HijackThis or C:\Spyware Tools\HijackThis will do.

One of the normal steps in eliminating malicious programs is to entirely delete the contents of all Temp folders. Given that, if HijackThis (and other data that you care about) is living in those Temp folders, it will be erased along with everything else!
Temp/Temporary folders are just that- Temporary. They are not meant for permanent storage, as their contents are often delete in the course of troubleshooting, by running disk clean-up utilities, etc.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
You will need to close/quit all web browser programs and disconnect from the Internet for the following, so you should print out these instructions or save them into a text file with Notepad.

Once you have HJT running from a safe folder:

* Open your Add/Remove Programs control panel and uninstall anything and everything having to do with the following bogus/malicious software packages:

- MWebSearch/MyBar/MySearchBar/etc.
- SpamBlocker
- HotBar
- Spyware Cleaner
- Any/all "Weather" programs

* Your log indicates that you have ewido installed. Open ewido and check the version; it should be version 4. If not:
Download and install version 4

  • Close all other Applications Select language click Ok
  • Click I Agree
  • Click next
  • Click Install
  • Click Finish
  • Wait Ewido will open main screen automatically.
  • Wait again a few minutes and Ewido Should Auto update itself. If it doesn't click update at top of screen.
  • It is very important to get updates
  • When updating has finished, close Ewido.

* Download and install Micrososft Windows Defender - http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/d...displaylang=en

* Use Norton's Live Update feature to make sure you have the lastest virus definitions installed.

* Close all open programs/windows, (especially web browsers). Run another HijackThis scan, put a check in the boxes to the left of the following entries, and then click the "Fix Checked" button.
Close HijackThis once the fixes complete:

1. This one is being stubborn; if you did fix it, the fix didn't take:
O4 - HKCU\..\Run: [MyWebSearch Email Plugin] C:\PROGRA~1\MYWEBS~1\bar\1a.bin\mwsoemon.exe

Have HJT fix that entry again.
Did you delete the entire c:\program files\MyWebSearch folder as I instructed in my last post? If not, please do that now.

2. When you say: "I got nothing on the ewido virus scan", does that mean that the report log came up empty?

I removed that one file and then ran ewido again but got some things listed that i had them fix below is the new hijack and ewido scan log hopefully it's gone. thanks again for help.
