hi

in my college we are using debian operating systems to install apache 5. now would i be able to install apache in redhat operating system and use the same commands as debian system?

thanx

Yes. I believe the RedHat distribution comes with Apache, in fact. Just make sure to select the package when installing RedHat. If not, download the rpm version of Apache (should be freely available on the web) and use the rpm -U apache.rpm command to install it.

is it rpm -u or rpm -i command? i think its rpm -i command but rpm -u command also exists? And redhat has its own builtin apache but you can update it using rpm as suggested.
