maybe its a dum question but i cant encrypt anything on my win7 home premium my ENCRYPT button is grey meaning i cant press it i don know why i tried everything and my security tab does show up

I'm very sorry for you but the reason because of which the encrypt button is grayed out is that Bitlocker Encryption is only availiable in Windows 7 Ultimate and Enterprise editions.
