I am recently having these problem with my computer that when I power on my computer it doesn't start at first time.
But it starts when I press the Restart button of CPU.
I don't know what's wrong with my computer.
I have Windows 7 OS, 160GB HDD & 4GB RAM.
My processor is AMD Phenom 9650 Quad Core 2.30 GHz.

I hope anyone here can help me with this problem.

You say it won't start, but the reset button will force it to boot. Have you set your BIOS to output detailed POST (Power On Self Test) information when it boots? If you do that, you should be able to see where it gets to in the boot process before hanging.

How can I do that

hey rubberman, instead of using your idea first
I replaced the cord connected to HDD with that of DVD Writer
Now it started in first shot & no problem now.
But DVD Writer is not showing up now.
I now know that the problem is in the cable.
