At My Computer/Tools/Folder Options General Tab the Click Items as Follows is greyed-out and limits me to Double Click. How can this be resolved to allow Single Click radio button to be used?

The only thing I could find relating to this, is..

If you have XP Pro, Start > Run

gpedit.msc

Expand the menu tree thusly

User Configuration > Administative Templates > Windows Components > Windows Explorer (Highlight this folder).

If the option "Turn on Classic Shell" is enabled, the mouse option is greyed.

That was it, sry...

Ah, just found this.

http://support.microsoft.com/kb/555140

It has the registry key setting if your using XP Home, and backs up the Classic Shell as the likely culprit.
