I have Win98 with an HP CD-Writer Plus 8100 series. I am trying to copy files to a blank cd-rw 700mb and I keep getting this darn error mssg:
D:\ is not accessible - A device attatched to the system is not functioning.
I can't figure out what "device" is not functioning. Any help would be GREATLY apprecieated. Thanks.

Describe the process in more detail. What are you doing? (Are you trying to copy files to the CD-RW without like you'd copy files drive-to-drive?)

- Can the drive read disks?
- What burning software are you using?
- Does Device Manager see the drive and report it to be functional? To find out, right-click on your My Computer icon, choose Properties, go to the Hardware tab, and click Device Manager.
