yes, a router has it's password to protect from being hack..

The username is usually defaulted to admin.
And depending on the manufacturer of the router, the default password (unless changed) could be one of the following:
admin
password
1234
123456

If your router's password has been changed and you are unable to log into it, you'll most likely need to do a hard reset to apply the default configuration on the router. Then use the default username and password to log in and reconfigure the router. Check with your vendor's documentation on the exact steps to recover a lost password.

Of course My Friend, router has password which is provided by manufacturing company as a default. If you want to change your router PWD then connect it to your computer and then go in networking sharing option in control panel. By changing pwd u can get more security to your internet connection.

Although it should be pointed out that you should always change this ASAP as the generic router defualts can easily be found by doing a simple Google search.
