Guys,i have developed a Java Application.I have already connected it with MySql DB & it's working properly.In DB there is a table calls Music and in that table contains a field calls Song _Path.It includes the path of the song in my computer.In java application there is a "Play" button.After selecting the relevant song(There is seperate button for that and it's working),the song should be played.I search about this in this forum and i got this option and i downloaded that file.

jLayer is pretty straightforward to use, and it comes with quite an extensive api documentation, so what is the problem you are having?
you'll find everything you need to know documented and explained by the authors themselves, what more do you think we can add to that?

Yes...Netbeans...In the read me file of the jLayer says,"Before running JLayer you must set PATH and CLASSPATH for JAVA and you must add jl1.0.1.jar to the CLASSPATH."...

in NetBeans, you can rightclick on the resources folder in your 'explorer' screen (I know I'm not using the right names here, but I don't have NetBeans installed here, so I can't check the real names), then, choose add library (or jar) and browse to the jar and add it.

at home I sometimes use the jlayer jar in netbeans projects, and that's how I add them, so I know that it works.

Thank guys.The problem was,i have added the .jar file correctly.But i have imported a wrong java library to the project.Because when i did a google search i got a tutorial about jLayer.In that tutorial they have imported "javax.media".So i also tried to import that.But it didn't worked.Then i tried the "import javazoom.jl.player.Player" one.Then it worked.hmm......but there is a small problem.It plays the mp3 file properly.Is there any option to stop or pause the file.If you guys can give me a solution to that small problem i'm admiring that...Thanks..:):)

I have written the code for playing mp3 file inside the Play Button.So when i write a code for Stop Button,i'm facing to a small issue.That's i have declared the inputstream inside the Play Button.So how can i called the same method outside the button to stop that.Is there any solution to taht?

I think you didn't understand my question.There is no problem with the IDE which i use.It can be Netbeans,Eclipse or any other one.

everything you need to know to solve that is in the api's of jLayer itself.
the last time I really "worked" on an mp3 player in java, is ... well, about 6 years ago.

I used jLayer and I was able to stop, forward to next, ... well basically all the basic functions of a (sort of) decent mp3 player by just using the basic methods provided in the library.

what have you tried so far, and what is in your opinion the reason it doesn't work?
