been studying c++ for a while and downloading sample codes in the internet.I just wanna ask what is cpu.h for cause im running this program (see codes bellow)many times debug all other problem the only remaining thing is that when i run it (im using dev c++) it always says that

\cpusched\2errorcpuh.cpp F:\cpusched\F cpuh.h: No such file or directory

i tried to search it but theres nothing ,i found .h prog in the dev c++ bin but theres no cpu.h in there?hope for your kind reply thanks.

This has nothing to do with your code. It is a missing header file, which you need to locate and make sure that the Include directives in your build file are correct so that it can be found.

WHERE can i locate it?its not on the dev c++ bin or any other locationn?how can i make one?

Well, I don't know about your system, but on my (Red Hat Enterprise Linux 6.0) is is in /usr/include/libavutil, so you need to add to your Makefile "-I /usr/include/libavutil", or something similar for a Windows VS build file.

Any header file ( foo.h ) provides the declarations/prototypes for variables, functions, and classes (and because of how they're handled by the compiler, implementation of templated objects, but that's another story). I have no idea what specifically might be declared/prototyped in cpu.h . Or cpuh.h , since that's what you're including, twice.

But now that I look more closely, you've copied the code from various files into one block for us (or that's how it's been code-tagged for you). So it looks like cpuh.h is in your own project, and declares the cpuschedule class, and then the implementation .cpp file and main .cpp file both include it.

If you've copied all the code into a single file, then you no longer need to #include the header file (its code is already in your file). But that's bad programming practice. Keep the files separate as originally intended, and learn how to use your development environment to manage the files.

Just as said before, chpuh.h is the first file where you declare your functions. The second set of codes implements it and then the last one is your main() which actually uses it.
Also, I'm pretty sure you should have a default option in your case switch statements.
