is it possible to read a specific data from a defined web page of a defined website? if possible please help for this.............or suggest me which language is appropriate for that.

the defined page will be remain opened in the browser window and then the data have to be read........does this need any kind of scripting language?

You don't need a browser just to read HTML from a website.

I believe libCurl for C/++ can achieve this, though it would be overkill:

Otherwise, Python is a nice alternative too.
