Hello Everyone... Can someone tell me what am not doing right here? Because am trying to insert a record into a database through a VB.net 2012 windows form into a MSsql satabase. Problems: When I write the codes without the insert statement, it will work well and open the connection. But when I put the insert statement (i.e. cmd=New SqlCommand), it will open the connection and then still go to the catch part by not adding any column at all into the table. Imports System.Data.SqlClient Imports System.Data Public Class Corpers Private Sub BtnConnect_Click(sender As Object, e As EventArgs) Handles BtnConnect.Click …

G'day folks, My sql server 2012 database is plodding along happily with its custom online store. Yesterday it's primary key incremental column jumped from 60681 to 61678 then resumed incrementing by 1. It is now up to 61686 and chugging along again. No apparent harm done but very strange behaviour. I'm looking into the logs but I don't believe anyone has had at it. Anyone heard of this before?

Recently, I removed Windows XP Security 2012 and was left with a process called ping.exe which uses enormous amounts of CPU. I am in the process of completing the sticky guide (http://www.daniweb.com/hardware-and-software/microsoft-windows/viruses-spyware-and-other-nasties/threads/134865) and am currently running scan #2 using GMER. I have ran the Windows Malicious Software Removal Tool, ATF-Cleaner, and GMER while using safe mode. Is it OK for me to be in safe mode when creating these logs? ALSO, the first thing I ever did was run Malwarebytes Anti-malware, but it did not catch anything. WMSRT and TDSSkiller did not find anything as well. I've read that this …

Occasionally something crops up as a classic example of how not to build a social media network, and the BBC's decision to insult its Facebook fans is a good example. The idea was to put a dummy site up as a test run for the London Olympics - they're a couple of years away but you might as well find the glitches now. Some online commentators have criticised them for captioning the photos wrongly. This is nonsense; any writer will confirm that when you're checking a layout you don't use proper text, in fact Latin is the most usual because …
