www.cdw.com has educational discounts on most software if you're in college
I used to use www.buy.com but thet're on the more expensive side now
www.thinkgeek.com has cool gizmos and gadgets but they're expensive novelty

How many watts do i need to get for power supply?

It depends on how much crap you intend to hook up to your computer. 250 is the bare minimum, but for a powerhouse you'll be looking at 350 to 400+.
