Monitor says "No Signal"

Added DDR memory chip from older E Machines computer to my new E Machines computer. New computer wd not restart after memory added. Removed added memory, but this did not help. Removed and reset original memory chip-- computer started normally but now the moniter says "No Signal". Help

1. Is the monitor cable actually connected (make sure its screwed in tight), and is it plugged into the correct port?

2. Is the graphics card (if you have one) seated correctly?

You probably did not place your memory sticks in properly.. reseat them, and make sure they are all the way in (sometimes if may feel like you are pressing down too hard..)
