Automatically:
From your admin dashboard, follow the path
Settings -> Writing ->Update Services. The default service here would be “http://rpc.pingomatic.com/

Add http://blogsearch.google.com/ping/RPC2 in same box.

This is all true for pinging new content. Does it makes sense to ping old articles? I guess it does. I personally use BlogPinger

Pinging is an automated software which is not consider good by a search engines...

you wana ping it more that one place at the same time ... ??

Hey everyone,

I've got a wicked wordpress plugin called "cbnet Ping Optimizer 2.3.3". It's an amazing piece of software that allows you to ping an incredible number of pinging services in order to get your posts indexed as quickly as possible.

What happens when you edit a post is that it sends a ping by default. If you ping too often, you'll assuredly be banned for spamming. So what you need to do is make sure you don't ping too often! It's very dangerous for your site if you keep it up. Editing and updating our past posts can be a huge mistake if we ping again and again...

What's better than pinging is submitting your material to social networks. I just found Ping.fm, which I'm going to sign up to quicken the indexation. Good luck!

these links are great. I was wondering why my blog posts are not appearing.

Brad

Pinging is for new pages to let search engine know that you have created something new.
