hi everyone,my friend had a intel celeron,3.06gz and i was wanting to get a p4 on the same 478skt,but i noticed that its different,the celeron cpu had all pins covering it,as the one im thinking about geting for him,only had the pins in a sort of square rim around the cpu,will this fit in the pc or will i have to get to same chip???

Have a look in the manual for the motherboard.

Find the make and model of the motherboard and it should be possible to find a manual on the net.

i think the celeron 3.06 is a celeron D socket 775 not a socket 478
