so i have a dell laptop latitude D600 and i have trouble with things such as logging into fabcebook, yahoo, aol, etc. that seems to be it for internet troubles. But when i turn my computer on this black screen shows up with white writing and at the bottom of all the writing it says press f1o continue or press f2 to go to set up options. something like that. also i wanted to download something like a word processor which one should i get?

The black screen you see is your boot screen, in case of computer error you will have that screen to log into safe mode or bios set up ect. you can turn it off, But I would leave it just in case.
