I am wary of showing my ignorance but could someone please enlighten me as to the difference between the pentium "x" CPU and the celeron CPU as they both appear to be made by the same manufacturer. I have used computers a number of years but never have had the need, oppurtunity or sufficent curiosity to find this out but now would like to remedy this shortfall in my education.

Thankyou

well, I'll give you the very very very basic rundown. Pentium X (Xenon) is pretty much server use. Celeron, stripped down Pentium III and P4. Wanna know more? www.intel.com

you'll find all your answers there.
