I know this must be some settting that I didn't do.
I got a mad dog - DVD writer drive - Installed it. Now my CD drive :rolleyes: will not read any thing - to open it you have to right click on the drive and hit edject - anyone know what I messed up
DVD drive works fine - reads writes no problem!

Jump to Postgo to the device manager -> DVD/cd-rom drives, and check may be your cd is disabled.

How many optical drives do you realy have installed?
CD and DVD drive? Are they on the same cable?
In that case, one of them have to be set as master. If you didn't change the jumper yet, then they are both slaves.
