wireless does not connect

i recently bought a RealTL8188CU wireless lan adapter. it works perfectly in Windows but in Ubuntu Linux it detects the network but does not connect. what could be the problem

I would suggest you to post this in ubuntuforums.org. I dont think you will get the solution here. ;)

Another good place to post is The Linux Forums (www.linuxforums.org/forum). You'll find me there also. Then, you need to visit www.linuxwireless.org - they have drivers (or links to) and installation procedures for just about every wireless device that can run on Linux.
