I'M about to wipe out my installtion of MintLinux and I need to back up my firefox and google chrome favorites. Does anyone know where these files are kept? Thanks.

why cannot export from the GUI go to file then export the bookmarks?
or try this login as root:
find / -name "boomarks.html" -print
when i type this on my ubuntu server i had this output: /etc/firefox/profile/bookmarks.html
