I am running win xp, sp2 and MS Office 2003 and Norton Internet Security. MS Outlook was working fine. Suddenly it can't send or receive email. A check of the accounts shows everything correct. Interesting thing - If I have Outlook send a test message, it says everything is connecting and working, but, in reality nothing is coming in or going out.

I suspect Norton, but ????

Anyone have any suggestions?

And if you turn Norton off?

And your test message - does it get through?

What's changed since it was working OK?

Anything changed on the router setup?

go to setting for the email account, do a test send/receive, if that goes through then it's not norton, if not turn off norton, then try again, if thats work you have to into norton seetings and allow pop and smtp ports 110 and 25 by defaults. and also allow outlook to access the mail.
