umm.. well .. there r many... but depends on how many ppl u r going to have
conference with .. u can use yahoo .. or skype.. and if r behind firewalls
and want to talk to many then try www.dingotel.com

See there are many free softwares but still it all depend on one's needs. You can choose according to your needs that whether you want it for friendly interactions ( like skype ) or professional reasons. Webex, Gomeetnow etc are some good options too but they cost you a little.
