vga driver problem

hi im newbie in here,hoping some one could help me with my driver problem....my vga and pci in device manager says it is not installed and i dont know what to download and where coz i only have my windows xp cd,i have no recovery cd or what ever...im using SHARP PC-CS30J running wi pack xp service pack 2,but update made it sp pack 3... and here is some specs that i got from runing unknow device program..... I would go to manufacturers website and download the latest update for your system. Including the BIOS flash and any other updates the manufacturer reccomends.

I went to Sharps website and they did not seem to have ever made a computer with the model number you listed. Recheck the model number and go back to Sharpusa.com to find the latest updates.

tnx for the reply,ive been searching for it for a long time but still cant find it,my model is sharp PC-CS30J mebius and from japan,thats maybe why u cant find it,im still searching for the name of the driver for it to be easy to download it,im so desperate and sometimes wanna give up..hope some one can help me find a solution for my laptop....still hoping........:(

Charp... I have found what you need. It is, of course, all written in Japanese but you still can see what you need to download for your BIOS. The link is

ok for to find out what the vga device download wcpuid program from this link ,click on the first one, wcpu330.exe 268,491 Byte Win32, http://hp.vector.co.jp/authors/VA002374/src/download.html
unzip to a folder ,and run the wcpuid.exe and then you will see a bunch of icons across the top of the program ,mouse over them and click on the one for chipset info and you will see vga device info ,post it here, or search google for its drivers

well sort of ,when you click on the chipset info icon a new screen pops up with this info in it .

But that vga device number is not enough to find drivers ,sorry

a google search of VGA Device : 1106:3108.01[its a VIA device ] give 3 links ,one to this thread and 2 othes, translation i get that its VIA UniChrome II device ,search that i find its VIA VX700,search that for drivers i find this via site.if it were mine i would try
vx700 single chip solution first,if that didn't work i would try vx700m/m2 and if that dont do im at a loss as to how to find drivers ,oh you could contact Via or sony

did you try and download and install the drivers i found and linked in my previous post ,that took me about 25 min of searching google for and reading broken Japanese ,for you to try and fix you laptop ,

or do you want me to fly over and try them for you LOL!

sharp, sony wouldn't matter that was just me typing wrong name from memory !
what message if any did you get when it would not install ,there are 2 similar drive files on the site ,did you try both .

yah gez no hope for the driver now.i tried calling the sharp manufaturer here and they said they wont be able to help me if i wont change my os to japanese....they are not selfish huh.....damn them.....neway tnx for all the effort,if u happen to found some vga`s u think will work for me pls post it,still hoping for a miracle for the driver...hehehe!!!tnx!!!:icon_cool:
