Computer restarts when disconnected from the internet

Hi there! This is my first post in this forum. I hope you could help me in my problem. The problem is: I have a friend who needs to restart her computer everytime she is disconnected from the internet. What could be the problem? This has happened to her since last week. We have no idea in solving this problem. I advised her to check her computer to an expert. We both run on Windows XP. She also said to me that they found a worm on her system. Could the worm be the cause of these nasty restarts? What could you advise to us? Once again, thank you for any help that you could offer.

If you need her system specs, I'll just post it next time.

What worm?

This worm can cause LSASS to crash and force Windows to restart. In this case, the following message boxes may also appear:

from http://www.trendmicro.com/vinfo/virusencyclo/default5.asp?VName=WORM_SASSER.A
