URL Changes!!

whenever i type an url(say mail.yahoo.com) without http:// preceding it, it changes its form and becomes C:\Documents and Settings\Administrator\Desktop\mail.yahoo.com!! recently i accedentally deleted some keys from the registry and after that this happens. can anyone help?

if your running ME or XP do a system restore, otherwise never play in the registry unless you know what your doing
