my computer is asking for a status disk and i do not have one for the cd/rom and i cant get if off of my screen what can i do to get it off please help

Please tell us what your operating system is and try to type EXACTLY what message you get on the screen.

Windows does not have such a thing as a "Status Disk".

Can you tell us what you system is and if you have a HP Printer?

If you have, can you re-install the Printer Drivers through the HP Disc.

You can also do the following

Do a Clean boot to make sure it not something on Logon, and report back

STEPS TO PREPARE THE SYSTEM FOR A CLEAN BOOT

1. Click START
2. Type 'msconfig' (without quotes) and press enter
3. Click on the 'Startup' tab at the top
4. Click on the 'Disable All' button at the bottom and click apply
5. Restart your computer
