i installed a software and days later realised i didn't need it any more so i uninstalled the program and deleted all files. but when i get into add/remove program list, i can see the program name there with the installshield icon similar to this:http://www.csus.edu/vpn/images/setup_icon_98.gif
this isn't the program itself but the installshield setup
how can i delete the installshield setup from the list?

You should be able to find the program if you do a search in windows. Then you should be able to delete the folder. Also sometimes it will show up in there if the program was not cleared out of the registry.
ATTN: Make sure that the program is not being used with any other program it could corrupt the program that might be using it. Best make a System Restore point before you delete this if you're not sure if its still being used by another program.
