I have just downloaded 7 of the latest microsoft security patches. I am already on SP2 for XP.
When I rebooted I lost internet connetivity. I am connected and can Ping www.google.com, as I can My ISP DNS etc ( all succesfully) my proxy servers are fine. I have disabled firewalls, HOWEVER i cannot get on line. I have checked winsoc files I have run diagnostics all seems to be OK, however cannot connect. Will I hav o reformat computer.....ahhh! I have tried three different modems and a dial up all with the same result. I can PING anything. Has anyone any advice.
