Hello all!

I recently setup an IP Camera with Activity detection that is set to Email via SMTP me pictures when the alarm is tripped.

Its connected to a Router DDWRT firmware.

Here is a 3 in 1 picture of the network setup

As it shown in the log: 02-09-2010 Tue 22:16:03 :

[DNS] Name resolution cannot be done.
[SMTP] DNS error failed to send the mail.

I think you will find that "SMTP.gmail.com" would work better than "outgoing.verizon.net:" but that is the "name." On another page, you should find the mail server settings. Make sure there is no ":" at the end of the outgoing mail server, and use port 587 if you ISP is Verizon; they block the default outgoing port 25.
