Hello,

i just bought an /29 block of ips. (8 ips).

212.251.11.240 to 212.251.11.247.

My isp create a deligation to manage reverse my self.

I managed to reverse the first only.

PTR record for 212.251.11.240: hsl-labs.kraibow.net

all the others nothing

PTR record for 212.251.11.241: 241.11.251.212.in-addr.arpa.11.251.212.in-addr.arpa

My zone at my name server is 11.251.212.in-addr.arpa

some records are :

240 IN PTR hsl-labs.kraibow.net.
241 IN PTR router.hsl-labs.kraibow.
.
.
.


Can you help me please ?

I tried with 240.240/29.11.251.212.in-addr.arpa but the same result.

only the first reverses.

If your IP range is .240 to .247, your PTR record should look like 247.240/29.11.251.212.in-addr.arpa. Also, what DNS service are you using? I've found that with verisign, it helps to add a completely separate entry for the reverse pointer.
