I was wondering abt the diff between main mem and auxilliary mem?

Auxiliary memory is what's used when main memory has been damaged by an enemy attack. It frequently runs on auxiliary power.

Any of these sites can explain the difference more eloquently than I. Main memory is usually RAM, DRAM or SRAM and auxiliary memory can be a hard drive, EEPROM, memory stick etc.
