i have my personal website and i have created an email account [email snipped] in it.now i want tht i check all my emails received on the above email address, through gamil,
how can i setup my account to use gmail services for my own email address with my own domain name?

are you saying you want to be able to use your domain address to look at your gmail emails? forward your gmail emails to your domain email... its very easy google lets you do this by changing some settings.

you have to go to your C-Panel and Change the MS Entry for your domain as stated in the Gmail source manual.
that what i did and it working for me...

I recommend using a Google Apps account because otherwise if you use your gmail account and send thru webmail, any email you send from there will have as its ‘from’ address: youraddress at gmail.com on behalf of yourname at yourdomain.com.
