How to exit fullscreen edit? It says press escape. Doesnt' work.

As title suggest, full screen edit happened in one of my replies. Could not exit with escape. Had to abandon the reply.

Trying to replicate now.

Replicated it. While in reply tap escape. Can't see how to get out except to bail out.
