Rik is correct, your computer is severely infected. And you are operating under a real misconception, you said;i had a similar problem before and i used hijackthis and it resolved the problem! can someone please let me know which files need to be checked in hijackthis, i can only run hijackthis in safe mode.
Just the fact that you can run HijackThis only in safe mode shows right there how severely infected the computer is right now. HiJackThis is simply a scanner and there should be no reason that it cannot be run in normal mode EXCEPT severe infections.
HiJackThis is NOT a repair program, it will NOT remove infections and it will not clean a machine. If this is the only thing you used with a past infection then it is likely that past infection remained. Your log shows a huge amount of malware, multiple infections and possible hijacking. On top of that you ran an out of date copy of HiJackThis. The latest version, which was released well over a year ago, is version 2.0.4 so you need to uninstall that one completely.
Do as Rik instructed and run all the tools shown in the link given.

Also, right click your hard drive and choose Properties. How large is it and how much space is remaining?

hello, thanks for the reply people!

i followed the instructions on that thread, but i came across afew problems, i downloaded the 3 applications, ATF cleaner stage was fine, but the 2nd stage with GMER i had problems, 1st time it crashed within a minute but it was my fault i didnt uncheck afew of the boxes, 2nd time i ran it, it looked like it was working scanning throught all my files, but after about 7-8 minutes the blue screen came up and crashed again, i was at the problem when the system crashed i notice the file GMER was scanning wen it crashed and it was a utorrent file? did this have a effect? i know at the start of the thread it said about removing any p2p sharing softwares? is this why? does that mean i have to uninstall utorrent etc? anyways after it crashed the 2nd time i left it overnight and then switched it on again next day and the computer seems to be working fine now, the warning messages have disappeared and there is no unwanted items showing in my toolbal like before with the scanner etc. but i still want to clean up my system i dont want to b having these problems every over week.

last time i had the problem i didnt just use hijackthis, i used another software called Malwarebytes - Anti Malware.

and my current disk space is 91 GB Free of 138GB.

what shall i do to clean up my system, after im thinking i mite but the malwarebyte software? or what kind of software would u recommend? but first i need help cleaning up the system?

I will say again, Rik is correct, your computer is severely infected. He told you to follow the steps on our Read Me sticky, http://www.daniweb.com/forums/thread134865.html

It is obvious you have READ the sticky but have not followed several of the instructions noted there:
You said there was a problem with the GMER program and it seemed to occur when scanning a uTorrent file you then asked this;

"i know at the start of the thread it said about removing any p2p sharing softwares? is this why? does that mean i have to uninstall utorrent etc?"

The "etc." tells me you also have OTHER P2P programs on there. If you had fully read the sticky you would have seen this statement:

P2P software circumvents common-sense security measures and opens a user’s computer to a world of hurt.
Our regular volunteers' time is valuable and most are not willing to waste it on a machine that is almost certain to be reinfected in short order.
So, please remove or disable all P2P software for the duration of the cleaning process. Failure to do so may result in your thread being ignored.

It is not an accident or coincidence that P2P programs are noted at #1. It is noted there for a very good reason, it is the easiest way to infect a computer and often times a key reason the clean up is quite difficult, or at times, impossible. If you doubt this look at this thread right here
http://www.daniweb.com/forums/thread334126.html

Frankly, if it were up to me, and it isn't, I would insist that ALL P2P programs and the files downloaded using them be uninstalled and removed before clean up would begin, but that is not my call so I follow recommendations given politely by PP in the sticky.

The other portion of the sticky that you read says this about the use of the GMER Rootkit scanner: (If, for some reason, GMER crashes or will not run, let us know and please continue with the MBA-M and DDS steps below.) This means if you have problems with it, stop running it and continue on with the remainder of the steps.

You finally ask this: what shall i do to clean up my system, after im thinking i mite but the malwarebyte software? or what kind of software would u recommend? but first i need help cleaning up the system? The steps needed to begin cleaning the system I say again are found here:
http://www.daniweb.com/forums/thread134865.html

Follow ALL of those steps, including #1a, and with the exception of using GMER and post the logs and we WILL attempt to help you get the computer clean.

Well said jholland1964! I agree with what you say totally!

ok i have uninstalled utorrent n limewire they are the only software that i am using which is P2P.

i have the logs for DSS and Malwarebytes:

============= FINISH: 18:20:07.64 ===============

i have also zipped the attach file. and hopefully uploaded it with this post! thanks for ur help! much appreciated!

You still have not followed instructions.
1st concerning MBA-M:

# Be sure a checkmark is placed next to Update Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware and Launch Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware, then click Finish.
# If an update is found, it will download and install the latest version.

You have a very OLD Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware program on there and it obviously was not updated prior to running which is the STANDARD instruction anyone must do before running MBA-M. It has MULTIPLE updates DAILY.
The current version of MBA-M is version 1.50.1 and the current database is 5408 so you are over 1300 databases behind.
You also only ran a Quick Scan and instructions are VERY CLEAR:

# Once the program has loaded, select Perform full scan, then click Scan.

2nd: instructions given by PP are VERY clear concerning the posting of the TWO logs created by the DDS scanner:

• Copy&Paste both the DDS.txt and the DDS Attach.txt into your post for assistance.

We DO NOT open attached files here, especially from KNOWN infected computers. You need to copy/paste that Attach.txt log here.
Please Update your MBA-M to the current version and the latest database

thanks for all the help! i have done everything u asking, i updated the malwarebytes and then done a full scan, with found many infected files, which were removed after. here are the three logs

==== End Of File ===========================

i ran the DSS after i done the malwarebytes scan. thanks for all the help again!

How up to date is your Norton program? Meaning, when does it expire?

my norton program has expired already. i am looking for a new software anit-virus, what would u recommend?

Avira or Avast are both EXCELLENT FREE programs. Since Norton is expired it is doing virtually nothing for you. It's definitions only would go to the date of expiration.

Uninstall all of the following programs via Add/Remove
Ask Toolbar
Cards_Calendar_OrderGift_DoMorePlugout
HijackThis 2.0.2
LiveUpdate (Symantec Corporation)
McAfee Security Scan Plus
Norton AntiVirus
Norton AntiVirus Help
Norton Confidential Core
Norton Internet Security
Norton Internet Security (Symantec Corporation)
Norton Protection Center
Symantec Real Time Storage Protection Component

Reboot the computer and then to be absolutely certain all that Norton program is gone run the Norton Removal tool which corresponds to the one on your system:

http://us.norton.com/support/kb/web_view.jsp?wv_type=public_web&docurl=20080710133834EN

AFTER you have done all of that then do the following:
Please Run the ESET Online Scanner

http://www.eset.com/onlinescan/scanner.php?i_agree=14
* You can use Internet Explorer or you may use Firefox to complete this scan and you will need to allow an Active X to be installed
* You will need to temporarily Disable your current Anti-virus program.
* Be sure the option to Remove found threats is checked and the option to Scan unwanted applications is Checked.
* When you have completed that scan, a scanlog ought to have been created and located at C:\Program Files\EsetOnlineScanner\log.txt.

Post back here with that ESET log.

i have removed most of the software asked, but i couldnt find:

Cards_Calendar_OrderGift_DoMorePlugout
Symantec Real Time Storage Protection Component

and there was only norton live update and Norton Internet Security (Symantec Corporation) where i deleted all norton files. i am going to reboot the computer run the norton remover and then the ESET scan. and will post the log back. thank u

Good enough

i just finished ESET scan, there was no infected files found but there isnt a log for the scan, it was done on explorer. thanks for all the help, i really apperciate u taking ur time to help me sort this out. i am just installing the avast software, which should be the last part right! thanks again!

Look for the log.You will find it inside this folder C:\Program Files\EsetOnlineScanner\

i cant find the log, when the scan was complete i checked the box which said uninstall eset scan after closing or something! but there was no infected files found anywayz, my computer seems to b a lot better and faster now....thanks for everything.

Have you installed a new Anti-virus program? That must be done immediately if you have not.
Here are links for Avira or Avast. Choose one and install immediately.
Avira
http://www.avira.com/en/free-download-avira-antivir-personal

Avast
http://download.cnet.com/Avast-Free-Antivirus/3000-2239_4-10019223.html?part=dl-85737&subj=dl&tag=button

AFTER you have installed, updated and enabled ONE of those then please download the newest version of HiJackThis version 2.0.4
http://free.antivirus.com/hijackthis/

Do a system scan with it and post back here with the log.

i have already installed avast and it is currently active, i have downloaded the latest hijackthis, but when i did the scan it said that, the scan couldnt scan some host files or something.

here is the log for hijackthis:

Don't worry about that Host file message, that is because Vista doesn't let HJT check the host file.
You do still have infection showing there. Please do the following:

Note to others reading this thread, these instructions are for THIS computer ONLY. This tool is NEVER to be used unless first instructed to do so by a helper.

Unless you have access to another computer during the program run please print out these instructions for reference as you will not be able to refer to them while this program is running.

Please download ComboFix by sUBs from

http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/download/anti-virus/combofix

Please note that the BleepingComputer.com download link will expire in 10 minutes after you click it so if you don’t click within ten minutes after reaching the page you will need to refresh the page.

• You must download it to and run it from your Desktop
• Physically disconnect from the internet.
Now STOP all your monitoring programs (Antivirus/Antispyware, Guards and Shields) as they could easily interfere with ComboFix.
• Double click combofix.exe & follow the prompts.
• When ComboFix has finished running, you will see a screen stating that it is preparing the log report
• This can take a while, so please be patient. If you see your Windows desktop disappear, do not worry. This is normal and ComboFix will restore your desktop before it is finished. Eventually you will see a new screen that states the program is almost finished and telling you the programs log file, or report, will be located at C:\ComboFix.txt.
• Re-enable all the programs that were disabled during the running of ComboFix..
• Then post back here with that log and a new scan log from HiJackThis.

Note:
Do not mouse-click combofix's window while it is running. That may cause it to stall.

CF disconnects your machine from the internet. The connection is automatically restored before CF completes its run. If CF runs into difficulty and terminates prematurely, the connection can be manually restored by restarting your machine.

Run Combofix ONCE only!!

Post back here with the log.

I done everything u said disabled all anit virus etc disconnected frm the interter ran the scan, the scan went well the log was created, once the scan was finished I activated the anit virus connected back to the internet n I tried to run the hijackThis and it won't let me saying something about trying to access a registry key or something went to open internet explorer n the same message appears, I restarted the computer n it seems to be working now, I am going to run the hijack this n post both logs here

log of combofix:

Are you still getting the warning messages? Is you computer running as it should?

no im not i having been getting warning message for awhile now, they stop after i done some scan from that thread i was told to. i did mention it on the forum but i wanted to finish cleaning the system, so i followed all the steps u told me to, my computer is running fine now. thanks for all the help! is the log clean?

You need to run this tool:
To remove all of the tools we used and the files and folders they created, please do the following:
Please download OTC by OldTimer: http://oldtimer.geekstogo.com/OTC.exe
Save it to your Desktop.
Double click OTC.exe.
Click the CleanUp! button.
If you are prompted to Reboot during the cleanup, select Yes. The tool will delete itself once it finishes.

i done the clean up stage, system is rebooted! i guess this is the last part?

As long as all your problems are solved.

as far as i know everything is fine alot better den before, thanks alot for everything.
