Jump to PostTry this: Go to your Control Panel, Administrative Tools, Services. In the list on the left side, find the name of the service you want to change (Windows Media Player); go over to the Startup Type column and change it from automatic to manual.

If you see a media file of some sort in the folder, remove it.
