During the 3 years I have had my laptop, I found a weird glitch in the Vista OS. Sometimes when I shut down my computer the screen goes blank, and I cannot wake it up. I assume the Vista OS had shut down, but it didn't shut down the computer. Is this a glitch or am I just not waiting long enough (10 mins) for the computer to shut down?

this is copy paste from another site ,but git it a try i used-to use one on a troubled computer i once had ,any questions just ask.

---------------
Instead of going all the way, clicking Start>Turn Off Computer and
selecting Shutdown or Restart, create their icons on your desktop :

create a SHUTDOWN ICON like this :
Right click on an empty area on your desktop.
Select New>Shortcut.
In the first box of the Create Shortcut Wizard, type , Shutdown -s -t 00
Click Next.
Name the shortcut : Shutdown , and click Finish.
Then select an appropriate icon for it !

Run Windows repair...! this may fix the issue.
