Spyware Removal Boot Disk

I'm an idiot and downloaded a .exe and it was nothing but a spyware program. What is the best way to remove all this junk? Is there a program I can boot from?

Whenever I start Windows a million popups begin showing up...

Download ad-aware , install it, then start your computer in safe-mode (by bashing F8 on start up) and scan your harddisk.

Thank you. I will try that. So will AdAware start in safe mode automatically? How can I download if I cannot get online without getting bombarded by popups? Thank you for your help

Boot into safe mode, then download Ad-aware and scan your hard disk. And yes, I believe that Ad-aware works in safe mode.

Mabe im wrong, but you don't have an internet connection in Safe Mode.

What you need to do is, is install adaware in normal mode, and then reboot into safe mode and run the scan.
